$600,000 appropriated in fiscal year 2025 from the general fund to Metropolitan State University through the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.

Funds designated for contracting with a cyber range vendor to provide cybersecurity training services to enrolled students and state and local government agencies.

Cyber range defined as an isolated, interactive, and controlled virtual environment for training in cybersecurity, testing technologies, and simulating cyberattacks and defenses.

One-time appropriation available until June 30, 2027.
