Allows municipalities to request that county canvassing boards conduct postelection reviews of up to twice as many precincts as otherwise required by state law.

Permits municipal governing bodies to designate which additional precincts are reviewed, or allows precincts to be selected by lot if the municipality does not designate them.

Requires municipalities requesting additional precinct reviews to submit written requests prior to the election canvass and to reimburse the county for costs associated with reviewing the additional precincts.

Maintains existing postelection review timelines (11th to 18th day after general election) and requirements that at least one reviewed precinct in each county have more than 150 votes cast.

Requires county auditors to notify the secretary of state of selected precincts and allows the secretary of state to require additional precincts be selected to ensure at least four precincts are reviewed in each congressional district.
