Appropriates funding from the parks and trails fund in fiscal year 2024 to the commissioner of transportation for converting the Dan Patch rail corridor segment into a bikeway from downtown Savage to the Mississippi River Swing Bridge.

Bikeway project includes study, design, engineering, environmental analysis, right-of-way acquisition, and construction activities.

Appropriation may also be used to study extending the bikeway or trail toward Burnsville and Orchard Lake.

Commissioner of transportation may make grants to cities or counties to implement the project.

This is a one-time appropriation available until June 30, 2026.
