Amends Minnesota Statutes sections 136A.121, subdivision 18 and 136A.1701, subdivision 11 to clarify data reporting requirements for eligible higher education institutions.

Requires institutions whose students receive funding under sections 136A.095 to 136A.246 and sections 136A.15 to 136A.1795 to provide enrollment and federal and state financial aid data to the office.

Requires institutions to provide aggregate and distributional financial or other data as determined by the commissioner that relates directly to the office's responsibilities under the respective chapters.

Mandates that the commissioner establish and consult with a data advisory task force before requesting aggregate and distributional data to determine the need, content, and detail of the information.

Classifies data provided by nonpublic institutions as nonpublic data under Minnesota chapter 13.
