Delays the review of physical education academic standards and benchmarks from the 2022-2023 school year to the 2026-2027 school year, with subsequent reviews occurring every ten years thereafter.

Maintains the existing ten-year review cycle schedule for other academic standards: arts (beginning 2017-2018), science (beginning 2018-2019), language arts (beginning 2019-2020), and social studies (beginning 2020-2021).

Requires the commissioner of education to ensure mathematics assessments for grades 3-8 and 11 align with state mathematics standards, with reviews beginning in 2021-2022 and every ten years thereafter.

Requires school districts and charter schools to revise and align local academic standards in health, world languages, and career and technical education on a periodic review cycle determined by the individual district or school.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
