Amends Minnesota Statutes section 326B.36, subdivision 7 to clarify exemptions from State Building Code inspections for electrical utilities performing load control work.

Adds new subdivision 8 establishing additional requirements for load control exemptions: work must be performed by a licensed electrician employed by a class A electrical contractor and limited to replacement or repair of existing equipment for non-public utilities.

Restricts the load control exemption to work completed on or before December 31, 2028.

Applies exemptions only to installations used exclusively for generation, transformation, distribution, transmission, load control, or metering of electric current that are generally accessible only to utility employees or authorized personnel.
