Postsecondary institutions receiving state financial aid must prepare current residential housing lists limited to students in institutional housing or the city/cities where the campus is situated, and send certified lists to county auditors for election day registration purposes.

Eligible voters may prove residence using current valid photo identification issued by a postsecondary institution if their name, student ID number, and precinct address appear on a certified residential housing list, provided the institution submits a written agreement to the county auditor at least 60 days before the election.

Updated residential housing lists must be certified to county auditors no earlier than 20 days prior to each election, dated and signed by the institution's chief officer or designee, and must state the list is current and accurate as of the certification date.

Postsecondary institutions must provide voter registration forms to students during fall and spring of each year, and in state election years must provide forms 15 days before the voter registration deadline for the state general election.

Postsecondary institutions must maintain a webpage with voting resources, designate a campus vote coordinator, and develop a voter engagement plan in consultation with campus student associations, with annual reporting to the secretary of state by November 30.
