State agencies may only provide financial assistance if recipients certify that laborers and mechanics will be paid prevailing wage rates as defined in Minnesota Statutes section 177.42, subdivision 6

Recipients of state financial assistance must comply with record keeping and reporting requirements under sections 177.27, 177.30, 177.32, 177.41 to 177.435, and 177.45

The state agency awarding financial assistance is designated as the contracting authority and the project is considered a public works project for prevailing wage compliance purposes

Recipients must notify all employers on the project of record keeping and reporting requirements in section 177.30, paragraph (a), clauses (6) and (7), and each employer must submit required information to the state agency
