Amends Minnesota Statutes section 168A.151, subdivision 1, to allow supporting documents used to transfer vehicle ownership to insurers to be signed electronically rather than requiring notarized signatures.

Supporting documents eligible for electronic signature include but are not limited to power of attorney forms used in vehicle damage claim settlements.

Insurers must indemnify and hold harmless the Minnesota Department of Public Safety for any claims resulting from issuing certificates of title, salvage titles, or junking certificates under this provision.

Applies to Minnesota-licensed insurers acquiring vehicle ownership through damage claim payments, excluding recovered intact vehicles.
