Adds a new sales tax exemption for items purchased through Medicare, Medicaid, or private health plans that are not already exempt under existing law.

Defines "private health plan" as a health plan under Minnesota Statutes section 62A.011, subdivision 3, or a qualified health plan under section 62A.011, subdivision 7.

Effective for sales and purchases made after June 30, 2023.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 297A.67, by adding subdivision 7b.
