Postsecondary institutions must notify a student's school as soon as practicable if the student withdraws from or stops attending a course taken for postsecondary credit.

Students must provide their school with a copy of their grades in each course taken for secondary credit, including interim or nonfinal grades earned during the academic term.

Districts must grant academic credit to pupils enrolled in postsecondary courses if secondary credit is requested, with conversion ratios of seven quarter or four semester college credits equal to at least one full year of high school credit.

School boards must adopt a policy regarding weighted grade point averages for high school or dual enrollment courses and annually publish on their website a list of courses for which students may earn weighted grades.

Amendments are effective July 1, 2023 and modify Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 124D.09, subdivisions 5 and 12.
