Amends Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 326B.106 by adding a new subdivision regarding refrigerants designated as acceptable for use.

Prohibits building codes and code appendices from restricting or limiting the use of refrigerants designated as acceptable under United States Code, title 42, section 7671k.

Requires any equipment containing such refrigerants to be listed and installed in full compliance with all applicable safety standards and use conditions imposed by the federal designation or required by law.

Referred to Labor Committee on 02/20/2023 and recommended for passage with amendments on 03/08/2023, then re-referred to Energy, Utilities, Environment, and Climate Committee.
