Appropriates $50,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2024 to the commissioner of public safety for a school bus safety education and awareness campaign.

Campaign must focus on reducing unlawful motor vehicle passing of school buses and informing drivers about laws requiring stops when buses display extended stop-signal arms and flashing red lights.

Requires the commissioner to identify best practices, review effective communication methods, and utilize multiple forms of media when developing the campaign.

This is a onetime appropriation.
