Appropriates $265,000 from the general fund to the Department of Education for fiscal year 2024, to be transferred to the Commissioner of Health for a grant to a nationally recognized provider of evidence-based online suicide prevention training.

Training must be available free of charge and accessible to all teachers in every school district, charter school, intermediate school district, service cooperative, and Tribal school in Minnesota.

Grant recipient must report to the Commissioner of Health the number of teachers completing training, average completion time, and average usage duration.

Commissioner of Health must survey online training users on their perception of the training and report findings to legislative committees having jurisdiction over K-12 education and suicide prevention by January 8, 2025.

This is a one-time appropriation available until June 30, 2025.
