City of Blackduck may impose a local sales and use tax of up to one-half of one percent upon voter approval at a general election.

Tax revenues must fund five specific projects: $200,000 for campground utilities, $250,000 for playground and restroom at wayside rest, $300,000 for trail extensions, $150,000 for golf course irrigation, and $100,000 for library rehabilitation.

City may issue bonds under Minnesota Statutes chapter 475 to finance all or portion of project costs, with principal amounts not exceeding the project allocations plus bond issuance costs.

Tax expires at the earlier of 20 years after imposition or when the city receives sufficient revenue to pay authorized project costs and bond-related expenses.

Remaining funds after project completion revert to the county's general fund; city may terminate the tax earlier by ordinance.
