$300,000 appropriated in fiscal year 2024 from the general fund to create water operator and wastewater operator training programs at Riverland Community College campuses in Austin, Albert Lea, and Owatonna.

$95,000 allocated for program and curriculum development aligned with Pollution Control Agency wastewater licensure levels and Department of Health examination levels.

$85,000 directed to Customized Training and Education Department personnel for recruiting program designers, developing curriculum, recruiting students and instructors, and collaborating with external partners.

$60,000 for marketing development, distribution, and program outreach; $25,000 for administrative and overhead costs; and $35,000 for training equipment.

Unencumbered balance does not cancel at end of fiscal year 2024 and remains available until June 30, 2026 for authorized purposes.
