Requires the commissioner of commerce to conduct a study evaluating the potential costs, benefits, and impacts of advanced nuclear reactors operating in Minnesota by January 31, 2025.

Defines advanced nuclear reactors as small modular reactors (300 megawatts or less, factory-assembled) or molten sodium reactors (using fluoride or chloride salt fuel).

Study must analyze impacts on air emissions, retail electricity prices, grid reliability, state resources and public health, employment opportunities, local economic development, and compliance with Minnesota's energy technology and carbon-free standards.

Study must identify Minnesota statutes and administrative rules requiring modifications to enable construction and operation of advanced nuclear reactors and evaluate waste minimization technologies and costs.

Appropriates $100,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2024 to the commissioner of commerce as a one-time appropriation to conduct the study.
