• Increases payment rates for nonemergency medical transportation services provided to Minnesota health care program beneficiaries by amending reimbursement rates in Minnesota Statutes section 256B.0625, subdivision 17.

• Raises base rates for unassisted transport from $11 to $17, assisted transport from $13 to $22, and lift-equipped/ramp transport from $18 to $31.

• Increases mileage rates for unassisted transport from $1.30 to $2.38 per mile, assisted transport from $1.30 to $2.38 per mile, and lift-equipped/ramp transport from $1.55 to $2.65 per mile.

• Applies rural and super rural area adjustments, with super rural base rates at 111.3 percent of standard rates and rural/super rural mileage rates at 125 percent for trips of 17 miles or less.

• Maintains existing requirements for driver-assisted services, trip logs, route limitations (30 miles for primary care, 60 miles for specialty care), and provider enrollment standards.
