Appropriates an unspecified amount from the general fund to the Department of Education for onetime school capital projects in fiscal year 2024.

Aid to school districts is calculated by multiplying an unspecified dollar amount by adjusted pupil units and the district's 2022 maintenance cost index.

Aid must be placed in a reserved account and used exclusively for improving/repairing school buildings, equipping library media centers, eliminating accessibility barriers for individuals with disabilities, or achieving State Fire Code compliance.

100 percent of aid must be paid out in the current fiscal year, and the appropriation remains available until all funds are spent.

Becomes effective the day following final enactment.
