• Bans the sale, offer for sale, or distribution of screw- and bayonet-base compact fluorescent lamps, mercury vapor lamps, and mercury vapor lamp ballasts as of January 1, 2025.

• Bans the sale, offer for sale, or distribution of pin-base compact fluorescent lamps and linear fluorescent lamps as of January 1, 2026.

• Exempts specialty lamps designed for image capture, projection, germicidal use, ozone generation, coral zooxanthellae symbiosis, sunlamps, and specialty application mercury vapor lamp ballasts.

• Allows utilities to continue offering energy-efficient lighting programs, rebates, and lamp-recycling services under their approved energy conservation and optimization plans.

• Permits compact fluorescent lamp replacements in motor vehicles manufactured on or before January 1, 2020.
