• Reclassifies commercial dog and cat breeder data collected by the Board of Animal Health as private or nonpublic, except where specifically required to be shared under section 347.58, subdivision 5.

• Requires kennels to include their state license number or board-approved symbol in all advertisements or promotions pertaining to animals being sold or traded, including on the Internet, newspapers, flyers, and radio.

• Creates new public information sharing requirements allowing members of the public to request kennel, dealer, and commercial breeder information including licensing status, business names, animal counts, and three most recent inspection reports.

• Requires the Board of Animal Health to maintain and post a list of licensed commercial breeders in good standing on its public website and share historical licensing and revocation information upon request.

• Modifies inspection report requirements to include documentation of all business names used by commercial breeders, facility identification numbers, facility names, and locations.
