S.F. 3507 - Environmental and Natural Resources Trust Fund

• Appropriates $79,644,000 from the environment and natural resources trust fund for fiscal year 2025 across multiple natural resource categories including foundational data, water resources, environmental education, invasive species management, air quality, and land acquisition.

• Establishes funding for research and data collection projects on native plants, wild rice, tree cavities, Minnesota lakes, insects, PFAS contamination, elk populations, and other wildlife to support conservation and management decisions.

• Provides $11,262,000 for environmental education programs including youth camps, teacher training, conservation internships, and outdoor recreation access across Minnesota.

• Allocates $8,304,000 for invasive species management including terrestrial plants, jumping worms, invasive carp detection, and native pollinator protection.

• Modifies previous appropriations from 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023 laws by extending deadlines and adjusting funding levels for ongoing projects related to parks, trails, habitat acquisition, and resource management.
