Amends Minnesota Statutes section 501C.0202 to clarify that judicial proceedings involving trusts may be filed by petition under either the district court's in rem or in personam jurisdiction.

Expands section 501C.0204 subdivision 1 to specify that orders issued in in rem judicial proceedings are binding on the trust estate and upon the interests of all interested persons, including all beneficiaries whether vested or contingent, ascertained or unascertained.

Establishes that appeals from in rem orders may be taken by any party after service of written notice as provided under the Rules of Appellate Procedure, or within six months after filing if no notice is served.

Effective retroactively from January 1, 2016.
