Amends Minnesota Statutes section 254B.181, subdivision 1, to modify sober home requirements and standards.

Changes requirement (8) to mandate sober homes permit residents to use legally prescribed medications approved by the FDA for opioid use disorder treatment and co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions, instead of allowing homes to set their own policies on medication use.

Requires sober homes maintain opiate antagonist supplies in conspicuous locations, written policies on medication access and evictions, and 60-day property/medication retention for discharged residents.

Mandates documentation of emergency contact information and notification procedures in case of overdose deaths, plus maintenance of community emergency resource contact information.

Requires written policies on staff qualifications, resident participation in treatment and recovery supports, abstinence from alcohol and illicit drugs, fee schedules, resident rules, and distribution of sober home bill of rights.
