School districts and charter schools that issue student ID cards to grades 6-12 must include contact information for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988), Crisis Text Line, and county Mobile Crisis Services on the cards.

Suicide prevention contact information must also be included in the school's student handbook and custom-printed student planners distributed to grades 6-12.

The Board of Trustees of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities must provide the same suicide prevention contact information on student ID cards and in student handbooks.

The University of Minnesota is requested (but not required) to include suicide prevention contact information on student ID cards and in student handbooks.
