Counties, Tribal governments, and local units receiving public safety aid must report to the Commissioner of Public Safety by an unspecified date in 2024 on the amount of aid received and how the aid was or will be used.

The Commissioner of Public Safety must compile reported information from all aid recipients and submit the compiled data to legislative committees and divisions with jurisdiction over public safety finance and policy by an unspecified date in 2024.

The Commissioner of Public Safety establishes the form and manner for how recipients must submit their reports.

This section amends Laws 2023, chapter 64, article 4, section 27 by adding a new subdivision.

The provision is effective the day following final enactment.
