Commissioner must issue C-130 air ready reserve special license plates to registered owners of passenger automobiles, noncommercial one-ton pickup trucks, motorcycles, or recreational motor vehicles who are current or former members of the 934th Airlift Wing of the Air Force Ready Reserve or 133rd Airlift Wing of the Minnesota Air National Guard.

Applicants must pay the fee specified for special plates under section 168.12, subdivision 5, plus registration tax and any other required fees.

Representatives from the 934th Airlift Wing and 133rd Airlift Wing must design the special plate, subject to commissioner approval.

Special plates may be transferred to another qualified vehicle registered to the same individual upon application and payment of a $5 transfer fee.

Effective date is January 1, 2024, for plates issued on or after that date.
