Nursing facilities must report annually by February 1 whether licensees or general partners/directors/officers control or own 5% or more in related organizations providing services, facilities, or supplies to the facility.

Licensees with such related-organization interests must disclose all services and supplies provided, the number of individuals providing them, and any other information requested by the state agency.

Nursing facilities must annually report to the commissioner their costs associated with leases, rent, and use of land or other real property in a manner determined by the commissioner.

Failure to meet reporting requirements under the amended financial statement provisions may result in reimbursement rate reduction to 80 percent of the rate in effect on the first day of the fourth calendar month after the reporting period closes, continuing until requirements are met.

Repeals Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 256R.18, which required the commissioner to provide biennial reports to legislative committees on nursing facility reimbursement system effectiveness (effective January 1, 2026).
