The Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities shall waive tuition costs for 12 credits of Peace Officer Standards and Training Board certified professional peace officer skills training.

The Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota is requested (but not required) to waive tuition costs for 12 credits of the same professional peace officer skills training.

Both boards must submit annual reports to the Office of Higher Education by July 1, beginning in 2025, documenting the number of students who received tuition waivers in the previous academic year.
