Commissioner of transportation must implement standards and guidance from the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, 11th Edition by July 1, 2024

Implementation applies specifically to traffic engineering studies and investigations for establishing or reevaluating speed limits within speed zones

This requirement overrides existing Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices requirements under Minnesota Statutes section 169.06, subdivision 2

The provision expires upon adoption of relevant revisions to the Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices pertaining to speed zones

Commissioner must notify the revisor of statutes of the expiration date, either electronically or in writing
