SF4835 Summary

• Establishes a new Office of Emergency Medical Services under a director appointed by the governor with Senate advice and consent, replacing the Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board effective January 1, 2025.

• Creates three internal divisions: Medical Services Division (overseen by a physician deputy director), Ambulance Services Division, and Emergency Medical Service Providers Division, each with their own deputy director.
