Establishes an Office of Gun Violence Prevention within the Department of Public Safety's Office of Justice Programs, with a director appointed by the commissioner.

Office duties include coordinating efforts to reduce gun violence, conducting research on causes and evidence-based responses, collecting data on gun-related incidents and deaths, and creating public health campaigns with the Department of Health.

Office shall support victims of gun violence, build partnerships with law enforcement agencies and advocacy organizations, and serve as a legislative resource on gun violence prevention.

Office may apply for and receive grants from public and private entities and must submit annual reports by February 15 to legislative committees with jurisdiction over public safety policy and funding.

Appropriates unspecified amount from general fund in fiscal year 2025 to the commissioner of public safety for implementation.
