Expands the definition of "noncampaign disbursement" under Minnesota Statutes section 10A.01, subdivision 26, to include child care costs for a candidate's children during regular or special legislative sessions.

Allows candidate principal campaign committees to pay for child care expenses when the candidate is performing official legislative duties during a regular or special session of the legislature, in addition to the existing provision for child care costs while campaigning.

Treats child care expenses as noncampaign disbursements, meaning they do not count as campaign expenditures subject to campaign finance restrictions and reporting requirements.

Applies to the 93rd Minnesota Legislature session and amends the 2023 Supplement to state statutes.
