$575,000 appropriated in fiscal year 2025 from the general fund to the Organization for Liberians in Minnesota for a health awareness hub pilot project serving elderly African immigrants.

Health awareness hub must provide culturally relevant support, resources, and preventive care education from medical practitioners with similar cultural backgrounds and make referrals to culturally competent programs and medical care.

$450,000 appropriated in fiscal year 2025 from the general fund to Equitable Development Action to support minority intensive support services providers in building skills and infrastructure to comply with Minnesota Statutes chapter 245D requirements.

Chapter 245D compliance support grant enables minority providers to increase service quality, accept clients with high behavioral needs, and meet regulatory requirements.

Both appropriations are one-time grants available until June 30, 2027, with the health awareness hub requiring project evaluation within six months of conclusion.
