Requires notaries performing remote online notarizations to register that capability with the secretary of state under section 358.645 before performing such acts.

Remote online notarization registration begins on the date set by the secretary of state and continues as long as the notary's current commission remains valid.

Secretary of state may reject a registration application for failure to comply with requirements; commissioner of commerce may revoke a registration for non-compliance with subdivisions 2 to 6.

Modifies the electronic database of notaries public to indicate whether a notary has applied to perform notarial acts on electronic records or remote online notarizations under section 358.645.

Eliminates the requirement for notaries to re-register for electronic notarization capability upon recommissioning; registration continues automatically if not terminated.
