Expands predatory offender registration requirements to include false imprisonment, disseminating pornographic work involving a minor, and possessing pornographic work involving a minor, effective July 1, 2024.

Removes false imprisonment from the list of offenses triggering mandatory sex offender registration under Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 609.255, subdivision 2.

Establishes that persons required to register for new sex offenses with prior registration-eligible convictions must register for life, regardless of offense type.

Allows continued extension of delinquency case continuances for up to 24 months total (instead of 360 days) for juvenile sex offenders to receive treatment, with prosecutor consent.

Applies effective date of July 1, 2024, to convictions occurring on or after that date and to convictions not yet final as of that date.
