Appropriates $1,170,000 from the general fund to Independent School District No. 777, Benson for American Indian mascot removal and replacement costs in fiscal year 2025.

Requires the Department of Education commissioner to reimburse the school district for expenses incurred on or after June 1, 2023 to comply with Minnesota Statutes, section 121A.041.

Covers reimbursement for removing and replacing American Indian mascots on school facilities and equipment including stationary, staff identification cards and lanyards, athletic uniforms, clocks, signage, tribute markers, chairs, tables, entryway flooring, gymnasium flooring, athletic field artificial turf, and gymnasium wall mats.

Appropriation is available until June 30, 2026 and is designated as a onetime appropriation.
