School districts must address gender-neutral single-user restrooms in their ten-year facilities plans for planning purposes and may use long-term facilities maintenance revenue to construct or remodel such restrooms.

Creates a new category of allowed uses for long-term facilities maintenance revenue to fund school safety facility enhancements, including remodeling, new construction for security improvements, and equipment modifications related to violence prevention and facility security.

School safety projects included in facilities plans may remain in the plan until completion.

Removes the previous prohibition on using long-term facilities maintenance revenue for violence prevention and facility security, allowing such projects only through the new school safety facility enhancements provision.

All amendments are effective for revenue in fiscal year 2025 and later.
