Secretary of state must place two separate advisory questions on the 2024 state general election ballot asking voters whether to adopt the state flag and state seal designs approved by the State Emblems Redesign Commission.

Questions must follow the same ballot placement and canvassing procedures as proposed state constitutional amendments, with color reproductions of both designs made available for public inspection at each polling place.

County auditors and municipal clerks must ensure design reproductions are displayed in a conspicuous location so voters can view them before casting ballots.

Secretary of state must submit a report to the legislature by January 15, 2025, detailing the advisory referendum results.

Repeals Laws 2023, chapter 62, article 2, sections 1 through 5 and section 133, subdivision 1, effective retroactively from January 1, 2024, which had established the new state flag and seal designs.
