Appropriates $2,000,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2025 to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to American Indian Family Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Funds are designated for property acquisition to establish the Oyate Ota Center, which will house multiple American Indian nonprofit organizations.

The center will provide culturally specific services including mental and chemical health, employment, housing, family support, emergency food shelf services, and early childhood education.

Appropriation remains available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes section 16A.642, and is designated as a onetime appropriation.

Section becomes effective the day following final enactment.
