$200,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the Commissioner of Human Services in fiscal year 2025 for a one-time needs analysis on emergency shelter serving LGBTQIA+ youth experiencing homelessness.

The Commissioner must contract with Our Space MN to conduct the needs analysis.

The needs analysis must examine the number of individuals needing shelter, age ranges served, types of support services needed, necessary outreach efforts, and geographic origins of individuals requiring shelter.

The Commissioner must submit a report with the needs analysis results to legislative committees with jurisdiction over homelessness services by a deadline to be specified.
