Amends Minnesota Statutes section 124D.111, subdivision 3, to add "lunchroom furniture" to costs that must be charged to the general fund rather than the food service fund.

Defines "lunchroom furniture" as tables and chairs regularly used by pupils in a lunchroom where they consume milk, meals, or snacks in connection with school or community service activities.

Allows districts with a food service fund surplus for three successive years to recode lunchroom furniture costs from the general fund to the food service fund, up to the amount of the surplus.

Effective for fiscal year 2024 and later.
