Deputy registrars may issue replacement license plates for qualified vehicles in registered fleets and issue replacement registration cards upon application.

New vehicles may be registered to an existing fleet upon application to a deputy registrar and payment of the applicable fee.

Initial fleet applications and renewals must be filed with the commissioner or authorized deputy registrar, expanding from the previous requirement to file only with the registrar.

Fleet registrants who fail to renew licenses or report vehicle removal within 30 days must pay a penalty of 20 percent of total tax due, payable within 30 days of assessment.

Applicants for fleet registration must pay an administrative fee to the commissioner for each vehicle in the fleet equivalent to the filing fee under section 168.33, subdivision 7.
