Health plans must cover imaging for enrollees with increased cancer risk as determined by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN).

Health plans must cover clinical genetic testing for inherited gene mutations recommended by a health care provider for enrollees with personal or family history of cancer.

Coverage for imaging and clinical genetic testing is not subject to cost-sharing, including deductibles, co-payments, or coinsurance.

For health savings account-eligible or catastrophic health plan-eligible enrollees, cost-sharing exemption applies only after the enrollee meets their health plan's deductible.

Effective January 1, 2025, for health plans offered, issued, or renewed on or after that date.
