Commissioner of Transportation must submit a report by January 31, 2025 on cultural resources expenditures related to trunk highway construction and reconstruction projects to legislative committees with jurisdiction over transportation policy and finance.

Report must cover fiscal years 2020 to 2026 and include an overview of cultural resources expenditures, total amounts for each fiscal year, and comparisons of budgeted versus actual expenditures for closed fiscal years.

Report must provide total cultural resources expenditures for each major highway project with summary descriptions of costs and breakouts by resource type, including historic properties, archaeological resources, burial grounds, and human remains.

An unspecified amount is appropriated from the trunk highway fund in fiscal year 2025 to the Commissioner of Transportation for preparing the cultural resources expenditures report as a onetime appropriation.
