Amends Minnesota Statutes section 504B.301 to clarify that individuals committing trespass are not subject to eviction procedures.

An individual without a signed lease, current contract, or sublease to a residential rental unit may be removed for trespass rather than through formal eviction proceedings.

Removal for trespass requires the individual to lack explicit permission from the tenant or property owner and to have received notice they are not invited to visit or remain in the unit.

An individual removed for trespass may be arrested consistent with Minnesota Statutes section 609.605.

Effective the day following final enactment.
