Appropriates $315,000 from the natural resources fund in fiscal year 2025 to the commissioner of natural resources for grants to school districts for accessible and inclusive playgrounds.

Allocates at least $100,000 to three specific school districts: ISD No. 196 (Deerwood Elementary), ISD No. 197 (Somerset Elementary), and ISD No. 199 (Hilltop Elementary).

Requires grant recipients to use funds for replacing, repairing, expanding, or installing playground equipment; creating accessible routes; or installing unitary surface material.

Mandates playground plans be previewed or reviewed by a certified playground safety inspector or Minnesota certified accessibility specialist, limited to no more than two percent of the grant amount, including evaluation of play area elements and sidewalks/trails.

Requires grant recipients to submit a report by January 1, 2026, documenting spending, identifying actions that advanced accessibility and inclusion, and recommending improvements for other school districts.
