Expands extended time revenue eligibility to all students placed in residential facilities or other facilities providing mental health services, juvenile justice services, or related programming, regardless of whether education is provided on-site or off-site.

Extended time revenue for qualifying students equals total membership hours in summer instruction divided by minimum annual instructional hours (not to exceed 0.20), multiplied by pupil unit weighting and $5,117.

Previously limited extended time revenue to two specific facilities: Prairie Lakes Education Center and Lake Park School in Independent School District No. 347, Willmar.

Extended time revenue may be used for extended day programs, extended week programs, summer school, vacation break academies, and other learning year program activities.

Effective for revenue in fiscal year 2024 and later.
