• Commissioner of Public Safety must make driver's licenses eligible for reinstatement if solely suspended for failure to appear in court on petty misdemeanor citations, violations of section 171.24, or convictions only under section 171.24.

• Commissioner must provide written notice by December 1, 2023 to individuals whose licenses become eligible for reinstatement, addressed to their last known address.

• Individuals eligible for reinstatement must pay a single reinstatement fee of $20 before license restoration.

• Any other suspensions, revocations, or cancellations on an individual's record remain in effect and the commissioner is not required to send notice if other provisions apply.

• Effective date is August 1, 2023.
