Appropriates $500,000 to the Minnesota Council on Economic Education for fiscal year 2024 and $500,000 for fiscal year 2025 from the general fund through the Department of Education.

Grant funds must support professional development for kindergarten through grade 12 teachers implementing state graduation standards in economic education learning areas.

Grant funds must support direct-to-student ancillary economic and personal finance programs supervised and coached by Minnesota teachers.

Minnesota Council on Economic Education must report to the education commissioner by February 15 each year detailing the number and type of in-person and online professional development opportunities, including content descriptions, program length and location, and evaluation summaries.

Department of Education must pay the full grant amount by August 15 of each fiscal year; the budget base for this program is established at $500,000 per year.
